Dr. David Moore, one of the founders of Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics, has been in practice since 2004. He graduated from the University of North Carolina on the Morehead Scholarship, a scholarship that only 3% of nominated seniors are given while also playing varsity soccer. Following undergraduate studies, Dr. Moore completed medical school at Vanderbilt School of Medicine and his internship and orthopedic residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dr. Moore also completed a sports medicine fellowship with world-renowned sports medicine specialist, Dr. James Andrews at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. As an athlete himself, Dr. Moore was drawn to the sports medicine subspecialty and later became an NFL Head Team Physician.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and received a Certificate of Added Qualification Sports Medicine.
