Following a dirt bike accident, Florida Georgia Line band member, Tyler Hubbard, ruptured his Achilles tendon and broke a bone on the inside of his ankle. The country music star says, “My world drastically changed and slowed down for a while after blowing out my ankle.” His injury required surgery from foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Brian Thomson, a recipient of the 2021 Top Doctor Award at Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics.
Time is always a concern with the country singer’s busy work schedule and 3 children. Thankfully, he was able to schedule his appointments, surgery, and physical therapy with ease at Elite.
“Juggling three babies and having the lifestyle that we have is difficult, but Dr. Thomson’s team was always flexible and would coordinate my care even if I had to be out of town. That was a game-changer for me.”
Along with being some of the most skilled orthopedic surgeons in Tennessee, Dr. Thomson and the orthopedists at Elite Sports Medicine prioritize the patient care experience. “Dr. Thomson had a way of making me feel at ease and comfortable. I could tell [he] was confident and very able to do what needed to be done. Having trust in your doctor is key.”
Following his surgery, Hubbard has been working hard in physical therapy so he can get back on stage. “Dr. Thomson helped me gain confidence in my strength and made me grateful for being able to get back to what I love. I would absolutely recommend Elite Sports Medicine to all my family, buddies, or anyone who wants to get stronger.”
