Elliott Kim, MD

Elliott Kim, MD, specializes in orthopedic spine surgery and is currently seeing patients at Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics’ Franklin, Centennial, and Brentwood locations.

Dr. Kim was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. He earned his B.A. degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology High Honors and Philosophy at Vanderbilt University where he graduated summa cum laude. He then went on to earn his medical degree at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. Dr. Kim completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt Orthopaedics. He completed his training with a spine surgery fellowship at the Emory Orthopaedics and Spine Center in Atlanta, GA.

As a spine surgeon, Dr. Kim has studied complex degenerative, traumatic, and deformity conditions of the spine as well as revision spine procedures. During his fellowship and residency, he trained extensively in motion-sparing surgery, minimally invasive spine procedures, spine trauma, fusion surgeries, revision surgeries, as well as deformity correction. He has interests in spine technology, minimally invasive procedures, and surgical care focused on decreasing hospital length of stay and recovery time. He has authored numerous publications, textbook chapters, and presented research at national symposiums. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.

Dr. Kim is passionate about serving the community through orthopedics. He loves getting to see his neighbors, friends, and people of all walks of life enter his clinic! Outside of work, he enjoys watching college football, spending time with his wife, child, and his German Shepard, Whiskey. He also enjoys sporting clay, bird hunting, and running!

Noah Arent, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant on Dr. Kim’s team who specializes in Orthopedic Surgery of the Spine. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Noah earned his Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Hope College and went on to complete his Master of Science in Medicine from Trevecca Nazarene University. He was drawn into healthcare because he is passionate about the health and well-being of others and enjoys building meaningful, collaborative relationships. Outside of work, Noah enjoys growing in his faith, spending time with family and friends, working out, playing golf, and watching hockey and football.
