Originally from Georgia, Dr. Willers received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Emory Unversity in Atlanta, GA.  He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.  Following a surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Willers completed a fellowship at the prestigious OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Institute in Charlotte, NC.

Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Willers specializes in surgery of the foot and ankle. He has a specific interest in sports-related injuries, trauma, adult reconstruction, and degenerative/arthritic problems.

Dr. Willers is a team physician for David Lipscomb High School and Lipscomb University and has also consulted in the care of many professional athletes including NFL and NHL players.
