Thomas T. Dovan, MD


Orthopedic Surgery of the Hand and Upper Extremity

Dr. Thomas Dovan attended medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was inducted into the AOA Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University and his fellowship in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder at the prestigious Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Dovan is currently a team physician for Lipscomb Academy and Lipscomb University. He has also consulted in the care of many professional athletes including NFL and NHL players.

He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and has received his Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.
